All blessings are through Christ Jesus; can God suffer; and does He suffer? God became man; yet retained the fulness of the Godhead; made sin upon the Cross; yet still the Son of God.<br> N.B. This sermon is 1 of the 7 'Gems' from the Legacy Collection.
A need for a true understanding of what makes a Christian; salvation is unmerited favour; man cannot be saved by works; the example of Paul; the controversy over verse 7; and the two differing views explained; faith is not the cause of salvation; it is only the instrument; the impossibility of man saving himself.
The true doctrine concerning the Christian; the danger of thinking that God is passive; Christ formed in us; the factory where Christians are formed; God; as our Father; chastens us; secondary causes operate in the world; the process of sanctification.
Gentiles in the flesh; the fact that the Jews had made into a problem; Christians are the true circumcision; divisions in the modern Church; the effects of pride; and the seeds of disunion; the danger of concentration on form and ritual.
The covenant people; God's people and the others; what it means to be outside Christ; and the consequences of that position; the Christian Church is the new commonwealth of Israel; the hopeless products of profound thinking and philosophy; in Christ Jesus those who were far off are now drawn nigh to God.
Repentance towards God; faith towards the Lord Jesus Christ; the glory of the position of the Christian; the completeness of the separation of the Christian and the unbeliever; brought into the blessings of the New Covenant; the New Covenant explained; free right of entry into the presence of God.
The difference between the Christian and non-Christian; the dangers of religion and mysticism; the impossibility of entering the presence of God without Christ; errors of modern teaching; the only way to God; the blood of Christ; the blood speaks.
The greatness of salvation is understood only when we understand the depth of sin; man makes himself the centre; the blessings of peace come only when our life is in Christ; the middle walls of partition; Jew and Gentile; the distinction abolished.<br> N.B. This sermon is 1 of the 7 'Gems' from the Legacy Collection.
A true conception of peace is vital; the Church is formed in Christ; a result of her relationship to Him; in Jesus Christ; as a result of His work; a new humanity; the difference between Jew and Gentile no longer exists; two principles of practising Christianity; peace for the new creation in Christ Jesus.
